Androgens and aggressive or atypical sexual behavior
ORESTIS GIOTAKOS

Many aspects of normal male human behavior depend on testosterone. Studies on testosterone levels of aggressive individuals have had controversial results. Even more vague are results of studies on individuals with sexually oriented aggression or generally uncommon sexual behavior. Moreover, neuroendocrinological research has not reached any obvious correlation between levels of androgens and choice of sexual object. Finally, although antiandrogens show an apparent ability to reduce sexual activity and aggression of sexual offenders, they are not able to change the direction of sexual deviance.
